What we compare
BuyFlowers compares florists and buying routes around the questions a shopper actually needs to answer: what the florist sells, where it delivers, how quickly it can deliver, what the final order may cost, and whether the option fits the recipient or occasion.
We do not reduce every florist to one universal score. A florist that is useful for urgent same-day delivery may not be the same florist a buyer would choose for a custom event arrangement, a low-cost bouquet or an in-person consultation.
Our comparison criteria
- Merchant identity: business name, website and available location or contact information.
- Delivery: published coverage, same-day or scheduled options, cut-offs and destination restrictions where verified.
- Price context: visible product prices and fees where available, compared on a like-for-like basis rather than by the lowest headline price alone.
- Product and occasion fit: whether the florist offers the type of bouquet, arrangement or gift relevant to the guide.
- Evidence quality: how directly a claim can be supported by a first-party or authoritative source.
Source priority
For operational claims we prefer the florist’s current website or published terms. For physical business details we may use Google Business Profile data. Partner, bank, university or membership promotions are checked against the organisation publishing the offer where possible. We avoid turning an unverified directory listing or old third-party coupon page into a factual claim.
How we handle ratings and reviews
Ratings can differ by outlet and change over time. We do not average separate outlet ratings into a made-up brand score. When a rating or review count is displayed, it should identify the platform and the date checked. Review themes are treated as qualitative context, not proof that every customer will have the same experience.
How we handle prices
Flower prices change with stem type, bouquet size, season, delivery service and peak dates. We compare the final buying context rather than assuming a starting price represents the complete order. Price ranges on editorial pages are estimates unless the page clearly identifies a current merchant price and source.
How we handle commercial relationships
A commercial, affiliate or partner relationship should be disclosed where relevant and should not be used as the reason for an editorial claim. We separate “where you can buy” from “what the evidence shows.” See the Affiliate Disclosure for the site’s disclosure policy.
Updates and corrections
Time-sensitive details are rechecked when a guide is updated or when a material issue is identified. We do not claim a fixed review schedule unless one actually exists. If a source conflicts with an older statement, the newer authoritative source takes priority.
